This is the first in a series of collaborative works by Frank Macchia and Alex Iles, taking some of the short film works by Georges Méliés and creating new music composed for the films featuring the trombone.  This piece, "Le Diable Noir" (or "The Black Imp") was made in 1905.  It has a somewhat surreal music score based on the pitches Bb, C#, D, E, F#, G, Ab.  This music can also be performed live with these films.  Alex and I hope you enjoy this tribute to an amazing artist and film maker.
